“I`ve always found it very healthy to try out and exploit new formats and ways of doing, thinking or writing theater. To me social networks manage to accumulate inexhaustible and unique dramaturgical material and since years I’ve been asking myself whether it’s possible people’s natural experience of dealing with them to be implanted and exercised in a theatrical context that is limited in time and space”, says Ivo Dimchev. He invents “FB Theater” as another opportunity for making theatre where the dramaturgical text is created by the audience as comments on Facebook during the performance. 

If you want to participate fully, take your smart phone with you, don’t switch it off, log in on Facebook and follow carefully what is going on on the stage. When you decide, post what you want the performers to say on a specially created Facebook page. They will try in the most adequate way to bring the content you create into the scenic action. If this all is possible, we  are about to see.

The performers have been selected in the frame of a special workshop.

Ivo Dimchev  is a choreographer and performer from Bulgaria. His work is extreme and colorful mixture of performance art ,dance, theater, music and visual arts. Dimchev is author of more then 30 performances. He has  received numerous international awards for dance and theater and has presented his work all over Europe , South and North America. Besides his artistic work he gives master classes in various art academies all over Europe. In 2014 Ivo Dimchev opened his new place MOZEI in Sofia Bulgaria , an independent space focused on contemporary art and music.
